Abstract |
“Pha Jok” weaving is the heritage of the Tai Yuan at Tambon Ku Bua, Amphoe Muang, Ratchaburi province and has been passed down from their ancestors who were in Chiang Saen, Kingdom of Lanna. The ‘Pha Jok” weaving process needs fineness, delicacy and effort of the weavers, so the patterns of the clothes reflect the way of life, the custom and tradition, belief and etc. of the Tai Yuan. However, because of material development, the process and techniques of “Pha Jok” weaving might to disappear. So the Tai Yuan descendants who realize how important “Pha Jok” is have conserved the culture of “Pha Jok: weaving until today.
