Abstract |
This thesis presents a study of religion, beliefs and traditional practical models practiced by the Karen in 5 villages in Amphoe Mae Cham, Chiang Mai province. In addition, it explains the relationship between the Karen and Christianity, the history of the spread of Christianity in Thailand and Burma and the relationship between the Karen and Buddhism in the case of Khruba and the movement of Phra Dhammajarik Project focusing on negotiating about religious meaning for the Karen in the community.
