Abstract |
The government understands that the event at Kru-ze is based on local politics and foreign influence. In fact, the Kru-ze community relates to the identity negotiation process caused by the changeing surroundings. The tourism industry in Pattani has promoted Chao Mae Lim Kor Niew cemetery to be a tourist attraction.The Changing of Kru-ze to be a product with the cursing mosque is added at traction of Chao Mae Lim Kor Niew cemetery. The poverty among Muslims, while the Pattani economy is influenced by Thai-Chinese families, and the rehabilitation of foreign Muslims are a reason for keeping their identity. It causes the mob in Krue-ze to try to call for a spacious cultural space with religious belief and practices. (P. 214-215)
