Abstract |
The Karen is a tribe originally living in the forests. They have a deep relationship with the forests as seen in the rituals related to the beliefs, traditions, housing, community forest and livelihood. Their Cyclical Bush Fallow cultivation does not completely destroy the forests and the biodiversity, but it is only a short term break. They have participated in the community and household resources management under the rules, restrictions, and tradition.
