Abstract |
The article examined the access to healthcare services of ethnic minorities in Thailand. It was found that they had less access to healthcare services than Thai people did and received substandard healthcare services.
Analyzing the access system of developed countries, it was found that different guidelines and principles were used. Impeding factors to the access to healthcare services of the minorities included the patients themselves and the service system. The patient factors included not only their economic status but also their cultures, languages, education, and social status.
