The book presents the livelihoods, houses, kinships, sacred places, cultures, customs, traditions, and beliefs of the Tai ethnic groups in villages in Kengtung, Taunggyi, Tachilek, Bagan, Mandalay, and along the Irrawaddy and Salween Rivers and their tributaries. The book can provide basic information to those working with or studying about various Tai ethnic groups, so that they can have a better understanding about diverse lifestyles of the ethnic groups residing in Myanmar.
