Abstract |
Tai Phuan af Ban Phue District is a Tai-Lao ethnic group highly aware of their culture and identity, their ethnicity and history, as well as language, lifestyle, society, and traditions. They have maintained their traditional practices like other Tai-Lao ethnic groups. Although their practices and beliefs are different, this ethnic group is animistic and still maintains its animistic beliefs and rituals. Despite the fact that they follow Buddhism nowadays, their animistic rituals have still been in place. This study focused on traditions, culture, beliefs, ethnic awareness, and the history of this ethnic group, which are crucial components for sustainable conservation of the ethnic culture (p.71).
