Abstract |
The Phuthai ethnic group at Ban Phon Community strongly maintains its traditional, cultural, religious and linguistic identities. The group is famous for their hand-woven Phrae Wa silk, which is considered the Queen of Silk. The silk brings the villagers both wealth and fame, drawing in tourists and cash. The community has been brought to the outside world. Therefore, the community is ready for cultural tourism because the villagers are fully endowed with culture and folk wisdom.
