Abstract |
This investigation examined general aspects, beliefs, traditions, and culture of the Karen ethnic group at Mae Mee Mai Village, Tambon Huamuang, Muang Pan District, Lampang Province. The villagers settled in the area about 157 years ago. Their houses were clustered together, surrounded by mountains with a creek running nearby. Most of the villagers were farmers working in their community rather than seeking jobs elsewhere. The villagers strictly practiced and adhered to their conventional beliefs, traditions and customs, and culture.
