Abstract |
The article presents historical information about the Shan rebellion in Muang Phrae in 1903. An investigation committee was set up to find out the real causes of the event. The investigation revealed that the event was a conspiracy among the Phrae ruling class, Lampang rulers, Phrae commoners, the urban Shans, and the British and French consulates in Muang Nan.
