Abstract |
The Akha believe in supernatural powers, souls, sacred beings, and gods, which regulate their community regulations, taboos, customs, and traditions. The diagnosis and healing processes of sicknesses consist of rituals, application of medicinal herbs, and mantra chanting. Folk healers would oversee these social regulations in order for effective healing and sacredness.
