Abstract |
The thesis investigated the socio-economic and political situations of various ethnic groups in Muang Yong Huay, Shan State. The state was once governed by Shan kings. After political changes when the state came under the administration of the Burmese government, the administrative roles of the Shan were reduced. Inta and Pa’o played an important role in the tourism industry. During the 1996, the Year of the Tourism Campaign, public infrastructure and tourism-related facilities were improved.
