Abstract |
The investigation covers a Hmong village located in the Suthep-Pui National Park. The ethnic group has been granted a privilege to reside in the park but is not allowed to expand its agricultural land. The study focuses on land use of the villagers after the village was developed into an important tourist attraction. One result is that labor in the agricultural sector is dwindling and the villagers have opened their own shops to sell handicrafts to tourists instead of being involved in agriculture.
