Abstract |
The data for the evaluation of the situation in the five southern border provinces were collected from various groups of local residents of various racial and religious backgrounds. They were used to analyze four areas: administration and security, economy, culture, and livelihood. It is found that the situation was getting better from the worst in 1975 to a satisfactory level at present (1982-1983). It was also hoped that the situation would improve, but that depended on various factors.
